Yi-Chia Fu was born in Taichung and is based in Taipei, Taiwan. She focuses on immigration and women, with a context of her personal experience and interest. In her previous works, she formed critical points on these topics articulating deeper meaning through stories.

She has a bachelor’s degree in Sociology and currently studying MFA in filmmaking, TNUA, TW. Her films include documentaries and narrative films. Previous films "Father's Phone" and "Home For Sale" has been selected in domestic and international film festivals.
